Accelerated Reader

Today was the last day of kindergarten for Clara. She's so excited for the summer, and perhaps even more excited for the 1st grade! She has truly excelled this year with a perfect report card all 3 trimesters. She's been reading at a 2nd/3rd grade level since around Christmas and finished out the second half of the year doing 1st grade homework packets for math and writing. She loves school, and at least for now, it comes extremely easy for her. Because of Clara's advanced reading, the school allowed Clara to participate in the Accelerated Reader Program, a program they don't typically start until the 1st Grade. Clara loved reading the books and taking the quizzes to test her comprehension, and especially watching her points grow. She made it up to 131.1 points! (each book she read was only .5 pt or 1 pt value)
Today, she came home from school with her final ribbon for the year in this cool stand to commemorate her 100 points (the next level was 150 points). We are so proud of all her hard work this year!
Now I just need to make her a scrapbook, so I can reclaim my refrigerator from all the awards she received this year!
GREAT JOB CLARA!!!!!
