Random Acts of Cuteness

Just playing with the camera, here are some random pictures I've taken of Matthew.

Must be the jacket and the hat making him so tired...
Here's Matthew at 5 months...

...and here's Jonathan at about 6.5 months in the same hat and Jacket :)

Then again, I guess the jacket and hat are not necessary, this time all it took was a full belly!

Anytime Matthew is laying on his back, the first thing he does is grab his feet -- I love this phase!

Volunteering

Every Wednesday, my wonderful neighbor watches the boys for a couple hours so I can go in and volunteer in Clara's class. Her teacher, Mrs. Ward, typically just gives me some busy work to do, (filing, cutting papers, pencil sharpening...). Still I know that it's important to Clara that I'm there. On Wednesdays when Chris doesn't need to be to work until later in the day, he goes into Clara's class in my place. Being much more energetic and childlike (in the good ways) than myself, the kids love to see him there. Last Weds. was Chris' turn. The kids were playing a game that helped to familiarize themselves with the parts of their body and taking direction. Chris thought it looked fun, so he joined in. Mrs. Ward got such a kick out of it she took a picture and emailed it to me:
It's easy to see why all kids love 'Mr. Chris'!

Roly-Poly

Today Matthew rolled over from back to belly for the first time! He stays swaddled so often when he's laying down on his back that I was worried he'd be a little delayed on that milestone, but he did it!
He's growing so big, so fast! We've tried just about all the fruits and vegetables over the past several days and the guy is a big fan of eating! Makes me feel like I've been starving the poor child. He ate his squash tonight, but it didn't seem to be a favorite, though he still seemed to like it OK. The only thing he hasn't tried yet is sweet potatoes, but I have yet to meet a baby that doesn't like those!

1st Veggie

OK, so I know you're not supposed to introduce too many different foods in a short period of time, and I know you're supposed to start with veggies, the green ones, but I never had that sort of patience! So today Matthew was introduced to green beans, and so far he's a big fan of food...maybe, we finally have a child that's NOT a picky eater!
